We are looking for a successful Remote Unity3D tech lead vacancy to be the leader decision-maker in our own technology, designing different systems and features on multiple platforms. You will work closely with our team of programmers, designers and POs to drive decisions for the projects you will be involved in.

The role

As Remote Unity3D lead, while working in an agile team, you will take responsibilities from day one. Some of the things you would be doing are:

  • It leads the software design effort alongside the other web and deep learning leads by decomposing problems into their simplest forms, applying abstraction and encapsulation to craft solutions that work and scale while meeting business requirements.
  • Coaches the team to make great decisions and actions. Use experience and skills, unravel tough technical features and allow the team to punch above their weight.
  • Set up automated tests before they go into production.
  • Responsible for finding new and innovative techniques to identify, track and resolve features to make the software development environment efficient. Continuous improvement is a priority.
  • Keeps the technology stack updated by understanding trends whilst keeping an eye into new solutions. Has a mid-long term vision to decide upgrades and improvements based on technology changes.
  • Demonstrates a structured, fact-based approach to problems under suboptimal conditions. Provides guidance to the team.
  • Keeps abreast of the latest techniques and technologies. Responsible for learning and sharing the latest trends and directions in technology.
  • Demonstrates technical expertise to others by blogging and learning, developing proof of concepts, and making suggestions how technology can be used in everyday projects.
  • Develop analytics and debug tools.
  • Interact with partners, develop a network and understand the “How”.
  • Drives growth, efficiency and competitive advantage.
  • Applies expert knowledge to help build a successful plan and help drive the work and plans of others.
  • Participation in others projects and performs additional duties as required.
  • Lead decision-maker within their own discipline/technology.


The skill set

  • 5+ years experience in Unity, including experience with scripting, textures, GUI styles.
  • Fluent in C#.
  • Proficient knowledge of code versioning tools Git, SVN.
  • Experience working with computational geometry and 3D algorithms projects in production/3D procedural generation (3D Maths).
  • Translate design specifications into technical requirements.
  • A knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code.
  • Demonstrable ability to discover and fix errors in code.
  • Ability to work in a small team in an Agile environment.
  • Attention to detail in all phases of development.
  • Ability to anticipate and balance immediate development timelines while maintaining long-term strategic objectives and allocating the necessary resources to complete tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and to be self-directing.
  • Enthusiastic communicator with the ability to make technical challenges clear and understandable to the entire team both technical and non-technical.
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves and be a team player; you do what it takes to get things done. This is a fully hands ON position.
  • Ability to constantly learn and stay in touch with evolving environment standards and development technologies.
  • A passion for bringing groundbreaking experiences to market.


We also value very positively

  • Previous experience with Unity UI Toolkit.
  • Knowledge of development of AR projects.
  • Experience with virtual reality is nice but not required (Vive, Oculus, PSVR) and VR SDKs (SteamVR plugin for Unity, UnityVR API, OpenVR).
  • Previous experience in a SAAS company.
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related discipline experience can be substituted for a degree.
